Obituary

Alice Carol Maslen, 90, of Elma Washington, passed away on January 25, 2025, with her son Tim by her side.
Alice was born Thursday, March 14, 1935 in Oakland Wisconsin to Emmett and Mary Isodora Larson. Alice was the youngest of 6 children and doted on by her older brother Milo. She grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. After graduating high school, Alice attended Emmanuel Missionary College in Berrien Springs Michigan before moving out to California to stay with her sister Clara.
While living in California, Alice met her future husband Kenneth Maslen. They were soon married in Redwood City, California on June 14, 1958 and then moved to Camino, California. In November 1959 they welcomed their first son Tyson Kenneth Maslen and in December of 1962 their second son Timothy Emmett Maslen.
Alice had many hobbies she enjoyed but she loved ceramics most of all. Her talent was appreciated immensely by all her friends and family. She spent several years working for the electoral board and loved every minute of it. Ken and Alice had many friends and family they spent their time with while living in Camino and were married for 64 wonderful years before Ken passed in July of 2022. Some of her best times were spent with Steve and Chris, Melanie, and Aaron and Sharron.
Alice moved to Washington state to live with her son Tim and daughter in law Teresa where she enjoyed the rest of her days surrounded by the family she loved dearly. Alice is survived by her son Tim, daughter in law Teresa, her grandchildren Angela, Katey, Brice, and Brian and 7 great grand-daughters Kailey, Claire, Addison, Hannah, Magnolia, Charlotte, and Phoebe.
She was proceeded in death by her son Tyson, husband Ken, brother Milo, and sisters Pearl, Leona, Inez, and Clara.
