Obituary

Antoinette (Toni) Kralevich Phipps passed away on November 6, 2024, in Aberdeen, Washington. She was born to Matilda and Louie Kralevich on October 3, 1936. Toni lived a life committed to family and the many lifelong friends she made everywhere she went. Toni attended Stevens School in South Aberdeen, then St. Mary's School until the 8 th grade. She graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1954, went on to graduate from Grays Harbor College in 1956 and earned a BA degree in Elementary Education from Washington State University in 1959. She taught in Seattle prior to her marriage to James (Jim) Phipps of Aberdeen on August 22, 1959. They moved to Brighton, Colorado where she taught school before moving to Cosmopolis where she and Jim raised their family. She taught first and second grades at Cosmopolis School for 25 years before retiring in 1993. An excellent cook and baker, Toni was the consummate hostess and read cookbooks for pleasure. She enjoyed dining out with friends and experiencing new cuisines through travel and her cooking.

Toni liked her special programs on TV, to knit, dig clams, and take trips to Olympia to see her grandchildren. She was a member St. Mary's Catholic Church, Aberdeen Pioneer Association, & Faculty Wives of Grays Harbor College.

She is survived by her husband Jim at the family home in Cosmopolis, her daughter Teresa (Teri) in Cosmopolis, her son Jay (Robin) in Olympia, and grandchildren Noah and Camryn in Seattle. She is also survived by her brother Lou Kralevich (Portland) and a sister Janet Kralevich Bacon (Bill Bond) (Everett), nephews Jared Bacon (Stephanie); great niece Isabella (Spokane) and Gary Bacon (Amy Heyden) (Seattle), niece Stephanie Kralevich Campbell (Chris), and great nephew Cooper (Portland) as well as cousins in San Pedro, California and Croatia.

Arrangements are being made by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen, WA.
A memorial mass will take place on Saturday, November 23 rd at 12:30pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen, WA. Reception to follow.
