Arnold Wayne Standifer passed away on November 15th, 2022. He was born in Pound, Virginia on August 23rd, 1950 to Clayton and Bernice Standifer. He was raised in Elyria, Ohio, graduated from Midview High School, and moved to the Grays Harbor area in 1970.

On September 27th, 1975, Arnold married Doreen Hjelden in Aberdeen, Washington. They were married for 47 years.

Arnold worked for a long time as a shake mill and woodworker. He also did appliance and garage door repairs, and was the Ocean Shores Community Club custodian and grounds keeper, before retiring in 2007 due to an illness.

Arnold loved hunting for deer and elk in the Humptulips area. He was a football enthusiast and a Seattle Mariners fan. He played in several pool leagues, mainly playing for the Midway Tavern. He also was in a bowling league for the Aberdeen Bowling alley.

Arnold is survived by his wife Doreen at their home in Montesano; son Curtis Standifer of Spanaway, WA; sister Nancy Frazier of Elyria, Ohio; granddaughter Taschelle Maruszak of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandson Avery and Ian Standifer of Spanaway, WA; and many other family members in the Grays Harbor Area. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Harold Standifer.
