Barbara "Bobbi" Jo Beatty, 58, of Grayland, Washington, passed away on July 26, 2026, at Providence St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia, Washington, following a brief illness.
Bobbi was born on August 2, 1967, in Anaconda, Montana, to Donald Martz and Dorothy (Martz) Milledge. She was the youngest of five children and grew up alongside her brothers, Donald, Troy, and Carey, and her beloved sister, Jamie. As the youngest, Bobbi treasured the close bond she shared with her family and always emphasized the importance of staying connected.
Bobbi spent her early years in Anaconda before moving to Bozeman with her mother and sister in 1981. She graduated from Bozeman High School in 1985. After graduation, she moved to Washington, where she met her best friend and the love of her life, Steve Beatty.
Bobbi and Steve were married on October 7, 1989, and were blessed with their son, Lakota "Kody/Lou" Wade Beatty, on June 8, 1991. Their family was the center of Bobbi's life.
Bobbi found joy in life's simple pleasures—spending time with her family, caring for her beloved animals, tending her garden, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors. After the heartbreaking loss of Kody on June 10, 2025, she found comfort at the beach, where she would lovingly speak to him through the Phone by the Sea, keeping his memory close to her heart. Now, Steve visits the Phone by the Sea to feel connected with both Bobbi and Kody, carrying their love with him and honoring the bond they will always share.
Bobbi is lovingly survived by her husband of 36 years, Steve Beatty; her brothers, Donald (Sharon) Martz, Troy (Barb) Martz, and Carey Martz; her sister, Jamie Martz; her brother-in-law, Donald Beatty; and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kody; her parents, Dorothy and Don; her niece, Melinda Maerz; her mother- and father-in-law, Marilyn and Don Beatty; and her sister-in-law, Margaret Delbrock.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Washoe Park in Anaconda, Montana. The celebration will begin at 2:00 p.m., and all who knew and loved Bobbi are welcome to attend.
Bobbi will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her kind heart, and the warmth she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
