Brandon Lee Hvidsten of Aberdeen, passed away on October 1, 2025. He was born on
December 7, 1985, to Karen Hvidsten and Perry Mink at Grays Harbor Hospital in
Aberdeen, Washington. Brandon grew up in Montesano, Washington, where he went to
Montesano elementary and middle school. In 10th grade, he moved to Aberdeen and
finished his studies at Aberdeen High School where he graduated in 2004. Right after
high school, Brandon enlisted into the US Army on November 3, 2004, where he was
stationed at Fort Lewis (JBLM). Brandon served 15 months in active duty in Iraq as an A
Specialist Company, 2 nd Battalion, 23 rd Infantry Regiment 4 th Brigade, 2 nd Infantry
Division, and received many certificates, but was most proud of receiving his Medal of
Valor for his heroic actions during active duty. Brandon was honorably discharged on
September 26, 2012 from the Army Reserves. After the Army, Brandon got his CDL and
drove truck for Willis Trucking and CCS. After that, Brandon found his passion of being
on the ocean crab fishing. He was working on getting his captains license where he
would run a crab boat in Westport. In his free time, Brandon enjoyed going to Liberty,
Washington, wheeling his Jeep with all of his friends and his son, Grayson. If you knew
Brandon, you knew he was the jokester in the room. He loved to laugh and have fun, we
will miss that laughter forever.

Brandon is survived by his son, Grayson Lee Hvidsten; mother Karen Mari Hvidsten;
sister Brittany Mari Fry; grandmother Marilyn Hvidsten; and numerous aunts, uncles,
and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Perry Lee Mink and grandfathers, Howard
Hvidsten and Charles Mink; and grandmother Thelma Dotson.

A memorial service will be planned and announced at a later time.
