Chieko Mack passed away on Friday, April 14th, 2023. Chieko was born on August 29th, 1930 to Uichi Sato and Kiyo Shosen in Osako, Japan who made their home in Tokuyama, Japan. She married Ralph Mack in Tokyo in 1957, and they moved to and lived in Minot, ND for many years. She became a citizen in 1979. Chieko and Ralph moved to the Grays Harbor area in 1991. She enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing, and architecture. She was a Renaissance woman and loved inventing.

Chieko is survived by her son Jerry Mack of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter Diana Thompson of Aberdeen, WA; sister Eiko Alby of Coeur d'Alene, ID; 5 grandchildren Alana Parker of Mesa, AZ, Ryan Thompson of Seattle, WA, Kari Doyle of St. Augustine FL, Kathy Licha of Sioux Falls, SD, and Kyle Mack of Sioux Falls, SD; and 6 great-grandchildren Zachary, Tyler, Bryson, and Brady Parker of Mesa, AZ and Addison and Kilian Doyle of St. Augustine FL, and niece Linda Lockwood and her children Skylar, Riley, and Donny of St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and her brother Tadashi.
