Edwin "Paul"

Paul Eddy
Paul Eddy was born on April 11, 1956, in Auburn, Washington, to Donald and Janette Eddy. On September 15, 2026, Paul peacefully gained his wings at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Washington.
Paul graduated from Auburn High School in 1974. Throughout his life, he called several places home, including Fall City and Sumner, Washington, before eventually making his way to Grays Harbor in 2019.
Paul found fulfillment in his work, first spending many years as a long-haul truck driver and later dedicating the final ten years of his working life to Home Depot as a Sales Associate. There, his friendly nature and willingness to help others allowed him to bring a little light into the lives of the people he met each day.
Paul was truly a man of many talents. There was very little he wouldn't try to fix, especially when it involved something mechanical. He enjoyed working with his hands, fixing things, listening to music, and simply spending time with the people he loved. But perhaps his greatest joy in life was being a grandfather.
His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart. Some of his happiest moments were spent with them, sharing his time, his knowledge, and his love. He especially treasured taking his grandchildren for rides on his grandfather's Farmall tractor—creating the kind of memories that will be carried with them for the rest of their lives. To his grandchildren, he wasn't simply their grandpa; he was someone who made time for them, shared in their adventures, and made them feel loved.
Paul will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to lend a helping hand, his ability to fix almost anything, and the warmth he brought to those around him. Above all, he will be deeply missed by the family and friends who were fortunate enough to share life's moments with him.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Janette Eddy; his sister, Stephonie Eddy.
Paul is survived by his son, Jonathan Eddy of Aberdeen, Washington; his daughters, Rebecca Nelson and Sarah Eddy, both of Hoquiam, Washington; and his sisters, Melanie Kirk of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Sheri Flynn of Bonney Lake, Washington, and Valerie Canzler of Anchorage, Alaska, his significant other Janay McClimans and his 9 grandchildren and many others who loved him and will carry his memory in their hearts.
Though Paul has gained his wings, the love he gave, the lessons he shared, and the memories he created—especially those treasured moments with his grandchildren—will live on for generations to come.
