Eugene Howard Harnden passed away on Sunday, October 1st, 2023 at his home in Johns River, he was 61 years old. Eugene was born on October 16th, 1961 to Howard and Ella Mae Harnden in Aberdeen, WA. He lived in Aberdeen all his life and attended Aberdeen High School and graduated from Ocosta High School in 1979. Eugene worked for the Ocosta Fire Department for 33 years and for Ocean Spray for 36 years. He enjoyed hunting in Eastern Washington, fishing, clam digging, cooking, and caring for his loved ones.

Eugene is preceded in death by his father Howard Harnden; step-father Henry Harnden; and Uncle Alvin "Junior" Spalding. He is survived by his mother Ella Mae Harnden of Aberdeen: brother Andy Harnden of Johns River; nephews Mitchell and Brandon Harnden; step-children Christopher and Rose; and other family Derek, Jodi, Skye, and Lacrecia Harnden.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 28th, 2023 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Aberdeen Elks Lodge. This is a potluck-style celebration. Please bring your favorite dish to share. Any memorial donations can be made in Ella Mae Harnden's name and dropped off or mailed to Harrison Family Mortuary (311 W Market St. Aberdeen, WA).
