Herbert "Herb" John Courts passed away on August 15th, 2022. He was born to Kenneth Courts and Maryellen Conway Pellervo on November 5th, 1951 in Hoquiam, WA. He was raised in Hoquiam and attended Hoquiam School District.

Herb worked as a machine operator at the Paneltech paper mill for several years but loved telling old stories about his time with Mayr Brother Logging. He enjoyed gardening, NASCAR, westerns, classic cars, music, spending time with his family, camping, hunting, playing pool, and the Seahawks.

Herb is survived by his son Brandon Courts of Aberdeen, WA; daughter Lindsey Courts of Tumwater, WA; brother Lonnie Courts of Hoquiam; sisters Debbie Courts of Hoquiam, Tami Courts of Elma, WA, Lilly Courts of MT. Juliet, TN, and Jerry John of Henderson, KY; grandsons Skyler Courts of Aberdeen and Dre Nearing of Tumwater; granddaughters Jaide Anderson of Tumwater and Tabitha Darst of Anchorage, AK; and 1 great-granddaughter, Brooklyn. Herb is preceded in death by his parents and brothers William, Buck, and Toby Courts
