Jack Andrew Barre passed away at his home in Aberdeen on April 25, 2025 at the age of 81. He was born on September 10, 1943, in Aberdeen to parents Francis (Frenchie) and Florence (Swingle) Barre. He attended both Weatherwax and Cosmopolis high schools. On April 8, 1998, he married Cindy Williams in Reno, Nevada. Jack worked as a cable installer for many years, he was employed by several different companies during that time, including Cook, TCI, and Comcast. He took pleasure in a variety of hobbies, like hunting, fishing, panning for gold, cooking, camping, riding his motorcycle, and watching NASCAR races and Seahawks games. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and those close to him.
Jack is survived by his wife, Cindy (Williams) Barre; sons, Eric Barre of Hoquiam, Andy (Tracy) Barre of Montesano, Adam (Shannon) Barre of Aberdeen, Steven (Stephanie) Lyle of Tacoma; daughter, Dawn (Jason) Hensley of Idaho; son, Andrew Tate of Vancouver; brother, Rick Barre of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Tessa, Aliss, Hannah, Zack, Sophie, Jairek, Ariana, Megan, Madi, and Leo; Great grandchildren, Fiona, Harold, Avery, and Olivia; cousin, John Swingle of Georgia; and his faithful canine companion, Trixie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Florence (Swingle) Barre, and his sister, Renee Gransden.
