Jeanne Marie Eakin passed away on August 14th, 2022. She was born to Claude and Alma Davies on July 17th, 1934 in Aberdeen, WA. She was raised in Hoquiam, WA, and graduated from Hoquiam High School class of 1952. During her teen years, Jeanne was an avid roller skater. She, Ruth, and Jens Boeholt won several roller skating competitions.

Jeanne married N.J. "Johnny" Leeson in Hoquiam in 1954. They later divorced in 1964. They had a son, Steven. In 1963, a tragic car accident nearly took her life. She thankfully recovered.

In 1968, she married Francis "Ed" Eakin. They were married for 54 years. They were the perfect couple, Jeanne loved traveling and Ed's job as a contractor for the telephone company took them all over the US together. They lived in Wenatchee, WA, Corpus Christi, TX, Modesto, CA, and Henderson, NV, before returning home to Grays Harbor enjoying retirement for the past 20 years.

Jeanne is survived by her husband Ed of Hoquiam, WA; son Steven (Rhonda) Leeson of Streamwood, IL; step-daughter Norma Myles of Richland, WA; and cousin Regina Best of Auburn, WA. She is preceded in death by both her parents.
