Jenny JoAnn Smith, also lovingly referred to as "China Doll", passed away at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on June 16th, 2024. She was 46 years old.
Jenny was born in Aberdeen on September 4, 1977 to parents Cynthia Lee (Smith) Schoettler and Richard Mercury Turner. She graduated from Weatherwax High School in June of 1997 and worked at Aunt Dorothy's Burger Bar. She later went on to work as a housekeeper at the Rainforest Resort in Quinault. She was a member of the Salvation Army Troopes when she was a young girl. Jenny had many hobbies including babysitting, roller skating, camping, swimming, riding her bicycle, beading, painting, and cooking. She loved listening to country music and soft rock. She was also a huge animal lover, especially dolphins, in particular.
Jenny is preceded in death by her uncle, Charles Smith, Jr., and grandparents, Charles Smith Sr. and Anna Smith, of Hoquiam.
She is survived by her life partner, Tim Moorman of Aberdeen; mother, Cynthia Schoettler (Clede Bloomfield) of Aberdeen; daughter, Cassandra of Lacey; sister, Charlene Bloomfield of Aberdeen; aunts, Jackie (Douglas) Smith of Central Park, Duryce Ford of Wishkah; uncle, John Haskey of Wishkah; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in both Hoquiam and Aberdeen.
No services are planned at this time. Donations can be made on the family's behalf to Harrison Family Mortuary at 311 W. Market St. in Aberdeen or at 130 S. 1st St. in Montesano.
