Jimmie "Fuzzy" Wright

Lifelong Aberdeen Elks member Jimmie Lee Wright passed away at Puget Sound Health Care on July 3.
He was born on July 9, 1941 to William and Florence Wright in Aberdeen, WA. He grew up in Brady, joined the Navy in 1960 and received an honorable discharge as a corpsman in 1962. On April 6, 1968 he married the love of his life, Anita Moilanen. He worked at several parts stores in Aberdeen retiring from CarQuest a few years ago.

Fuzzy was easy to spot around town with his handle bar mustache giving rolls of Smarties to those he came in contact with. He served in the Elks as Chaplain several times and two times as Exalted Ruler and also was an active member of the Ladies of the Elks of which his wife Anita was a charter member. He volunteered in many capacities at the Elks Lodge conducting golf tournaments, working at bingo and making glazed carrots for many dinners. Jim's hobbies were golf and making and giving away clocks.

He is survived by a grandson Caleb and 5 great grandchildren in Tennessee; sister Sharon (George) Stone, several nieces and nephews, as well as his fellow Elk Brothers and Sisters. He was preceded in death by his son Sean in 1995 and his wife Anita in 2008, as well as his parents, sister Shirley Ann and brother Ed (JR) Wright.

A memorial service will be held for Jim Sunday, July 21 at 1:00pm at the Aberdeen Elks Lodge. It will be a potluck.
