Joe Alan Friberg passed away at his home in Aberdeen on June 23, 2024. He was 73 years old.
Joe was born in Aberdeen on March 26th, 1951 to parents Alan Earl Friberg and Esther Bernice (Johnson). He was a graduate of Weatherwax High School and was a member of The United States Army. He served from December 19, 1972, through December 18, 1974, earning his sharpshooter badge with rifle appendage. On March 15th, 2003, he married his sweetheart, Debra (Durham). Joe was a member of the Gray's Harbor City Church, sometimes serving as a greeter or usher. In his younger days, Joe loved to go beach combing and riding his bicycle.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Esther Friberg, and sister-in-law, Pamela Heinsohn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra (Durham) Friberg; stepson Robert (Kristy) Mason of Puyallup; stepdaughters Suzanne (Bryan) Bruckman and Rose (Brian) Lederer of Goodyear, Arizona; brothers Ed ( Jen) Friberg of Plymouth, Indiana; Dale (Rene) Friberg of Olympia; John (Gladys) Meyers of Spokane; sister, Martha Friberg of Aberdeen; brother and sisters-in-law, Terry and Lodi Durham, and Sally Durham; as well as 8 wonderful grandchildren.
Graveside Military services will be held at Wynooche Cemetery on July 13th at 10:00 am.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary in Aberdeen.
