John Stanley Allshouse passed away at his home in Oakville on November 11 th at the
age of 80. He was born on July 14, 1945 in McCleary, Washington, to parents George
Allshouse and Olive Ina (Blodgett) Allshouse. He attended Elma High School before
going to work for Simpson Timber Company in McCleary for over 30 years. On March 8,
1999, he married his wife, Beatrice, who preceded him in death on December 7, 2023.
John was a member of the Oakville United Methodist church. He was a mechanic and
raced cars at the Elma Raceway in the 60's. He was a passionate motorcycle
enthusiast who was also an off-road racer back in the 80's and 90's. He was into HAM
radio, loved hunting, RV traveling, NASCAR, and football, particularly the Seahawks
and the University of Washington Huskies.
John is survived by his son Richard Allshouse of Connel, Washington and his stepsons
Edward Mock of Aberdeen, Larry Mock of Newberg, Oregon, Frank Mock of Elma, and
Kevin Mock of Tucson, Arizona; daughters Angelina Allshouse, Carol Stroud of Madras,
Oregon, and Paula Chance of Lacey; as well as fourteen grandchildren and twelve
great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Allshouse; parents George and Olive
Allshouse; brothers Harvey Allshouse, Henry Allshouse, George Allshouse, and Paul
Allshouse; and his sisters Elaine Biegler and Marie Johnston.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
