Obituary

Jack LeVering of Tokeland, Washington, passed away on October 16, 2025, in Aberdeen. He was 88 years old. He was born on January 7, 1937 in Aberdeen to parents Carl and Frances (Paradis) LeVering. He graduated from Montesano High School in 1955 and then went on to attend Grays Harbor Community College. Jack served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Cold War before being honorably discharged on November 2, 1962. He worked as a salmon fisherman in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska in the summertime and worked construction and built cabinets during the winter. He was a board member and volunteer maintenance person for the Tokeland Water Co-Operative for 23 years and was a member of the Seattle Children's Hospital Guild for 20 years.
Jack was an avid fisherman and woodworker, both professionally and recreationally. He loved making and fixing things and was happy to share his skills with others. He was kind and had great integrity.
Jack is survived by his wife, Marlise Pederson; son Richard LeVering of Ocean Shores; daughters Barbara Baun of Raymond and Michelle Jefferies of Castle Rock; brother Fred LeVering of Elma; as well as 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jeanne Hunt, and a grandson Ross Baun.
