Kevin Guelld, 66, was a one-of-a-kind soul who lived life his own way, forging his own path with curiosity, grit, and a sense of adventure. He passed away after a life lived fully and unapologetically, always chasing the next horizon.
Kevin believed in working to live, not living to work. Over the years, he held many jobs including working at a utility company, driving long haul trucks, and picking up odd jobs whenever needed. But his true joy was in the experiences. He felt most alive on the water fishing, sailing, or clamming, and he loved the thrill of skydiving, scuba diving, and kite sailing across the sand. He was equally at home line dancing, enjoying good Mexican food, or tinkering and fixing things, often sketching out blueprints for his next big idea. A romantic at heart, Kevin was always seeking beauty and meaning, often in unexpected places.
Kevin grew up in California and raised his three daughters in Nevada. He is survived by his daughters and their spouses: Misti and Curtis Frink, Meri and Dan Joswiak, and Jeni and Grant Haugen. He was a proud grandpa to Lucy Joswiak and Charles Werle. He is also survived by his siblings Edward Guelld, Kathy Guelld, and Robert Guelld and wife Kathleen Guelld.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father Robert Guelld, his mother Rose Baumhefner, and his brother Mark Guelld.
His family takes comfort in knowing that Kevin is off on his next great adventure, exploring in peace and forever chasing the horizon.
