Kim Gregory Hall (1954 – 2025)
Kim Gregory Hall, 70, of Aberdeen, WA, was found deceased Thursday, March 6, 2025 at his home from complications of heart disease.
"Greg" was born June 27, 1954 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Kay Frances Hall, later known as Sydney K. Serville.
Mr. Hall attended Collinwood High School in Cleveland, then joined the United States Army in July 1972 and served until July 1975 when he was honorably discharged with the rank of Specialist (E-4). This brave man would soon thereafter teach his aspiring 14-year-old sister how to drive a car with a stick shift without grinding the gears. He also enjoyed many hours challenging his cousin, Dwight, to a game of chess.
Mr. Hall married Mariela F. Daza October 18, 1979 in San Francisco, CA. To that union was born a beautiful daughter, Kimberly Ann ("Kimi'), who would become a published author and teacher. The Halls later divorced.
His signal corp experience in the military led Mr. Hall to become a radio personality (known as "the handsome Greg Hall") at KYET in Williams, AZ. He was politically astute and often expressed original, piercing insights on the dynamics of governmental polices and social media influences.
His wanderlust would take him to many places across America, but he ultimately chose to settle in the quaint, but rugged Pacific coastal port community of Aberdeen, WA to live out his life.
Mr. Hall was dearly loved and will be missed by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Hall of Australia; a sister, Brigitte- Colette R. (née Serville) Gérard-Shubert (The Hon. Craig A. Shubert) of Hudson, OH; two nephews, Alexander G. Gerard of Parma Heights, OH and Colin T. Gerard of Kent, OH; five cousins and their families. He also left behind some very special "buds."
He was preceded in death by his mother; and a sister, Marsellies Denise Hall; an aunt, Juanita Madeline Bertha (née Hall) Bass; an uncle, Kenneth Vanderbilt Hall, Sr.; and a beloved cousin, Fred "Rocky" Fields.
Greg's family wishes to thank the City of Aberdeen, its code enforcement, engineering, and police departments, as well as the staff of Coastal Community Action Program, Harbor Regional Health, Harrison Family Mortuary, LeMay Enterprises, and Spivey Realty for its kind support.
Cremation arrangements are pending with Harrison Family Mortuary in Aberdeen. Inurnment will take place later this Spring in Ohio. Condolences may be left at: www.harrisonfamilymortuary.com
