Lianna Mae Bunch passed away at her home in Elma, Washington on November 28, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born on February 16, 1951, in Casper, Wyoming, to parents Perry Ray Strain and Dorothy Isabel (Whetstine) Strain. She attended Winlock High School but moved around a lot growing up, due to her father working in the construction industry. She moved to Elma in 1978, two years after marrying the love of her life, Leland. Lianna worked as the lead tree sorter at Mima Nursery for many years before finally retiring on February 16, 2013. Lianna was an avid movie fan who also enjoyed knitting in her spare time. But her favorite thing of all was spending time with her beloved family.
Lianna is survived by her husband, Leland Bunch of Elma; son Lucas Bunch of Rochester; daughters Lisa Riddle of Decatur, Texas and Laura Bunch of Portland, Oregon; brother Paul Strain of Blaine, Washington; sister Connie Snodgrass of Bucoda, Washington; and one grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents Perry and Dorothy Strain.
Interment will take place at The Masonic Cemetery in Elma with a celebration of life to be planned at a later time.
