Obituary

Linda Joyce Piekkola, 71, of Hoquiam, Washington passed away Sunday April 21st, 2024, at home. She was born on November 4th, 1952, in Magna, Utah to Dorian and Ruby Bowen. Linda graduated from Lincoln Highschool in 1971. She and Charles married on October 23rd, 1982, in Seattle, Washington. Linda was a chairwoman for the United way for 10 years and she also served as a juvenile division court judge. She worked at the Everett Herald Newspaper for over 15 years. She was an honorary member of the Seattle Tip Toppers and a board member for A Touch of Light Advisory. She was also a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints holding different callings and spent years teaching children. Linda had a heart of gold and had a passion for helping those in need. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and crafts of all kinds. Linda loved teaching others how to sew and cook.

Linda is survived by her husband Charles, who resides at the family home; sons Doug Piekkola of Mountain View, Wyoming; Adam Piekkola of Hoquiam, Washington; Josh Piekkola of Lynnwood, Washington; daughter Jessica Piekkola of Hoquiam, Washington; Brothers Ken Piekkola of Rainer, Washington; Don Piekkola of Hazel Park, Michigan and Ron Piekkola of Henderson, Nevada; grandkids Teancum, Nash, Blake, Natalie, Magnolia, Ezekiel, and Izabelle.
