Obituary

Marian Elizabeth (Scure) Russell, 80, passed away on January 30th, 2024, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.

Marian was born on January 17th, 1944, in Aberdeen WA to Albert and Irene Scure. She grew up in Aberdeen attending St. Mary's School and graduating from Aberdeen (Weatherwax) High School in 1962.

Marian was a grocery clerk and cashier for Aberdeen Swansons for over 40 years before retiring. She was a devout catholic, being a lifelong member of St. Mary's Church, Our Lady of Good Help Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Ladies of the Elks, and the Polish Club.

Marian enjoyed a daily 3-mile walk, tending to her flowers, trips to Reno, and most recently trips to Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast.

Marian is survived at the family home by her loving husband of 53 years Ronald R. Russell.

She will be dearly missed by her children, daughter Rosanna R. (Greg Mickelson) Bonnell of Aberdeen, son Ronald P. (Teressa) Russell of Aberdeen, brother David A. (Cherry) Scure, of Aberdeen, sister Joann (Mark) Haugen of Olympia, nieces Eraka (Scure) Hank of Olympia, Shelby (Scure) Hultman of Olympia, Mindy (Scure) (Dan) Earley of Aberdeen, 3 grandchildren: Dane D. (Jenni) Bonnell of Montesano, Kaili (Danni) Russell of South Bend and Kyel (Courtlynn) Russell of Lake Stevens, great-granddaughter Alexis Rose Bonnell of Olympia, Kinslee Beck of Montesano, and other numerous loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Irene Scure.

There will be a private family internment at Fern Hill Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life to be determined later.
