Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Brown passed away peacefully at her home in Aberdeen on June 27th, 2024. She was 69 years old.

Mary was born on December 25th, 1954 in Seattle, Washington to parents, Robert Dale McFarland and Juanita Lucille (Webster) McFarland. Growing up, mary Mary lived in many different places around the world including India, Pakistan, and the Philippines. She graduated from Weatherwax high School in 1973. Three years later, she married the love of her life, Thomas Patrick Brown and together, they had three beautiful children; Daniel, Angela, and Bonnie. Mary embraced her role as stay-at-home mom until the children became more independent. It was then that her love of interior design and interacting with the public brought her to a career in flooring sales with the Stouffer/Moore's flooring company. She was a very active member of her church, organizing and attending many prayer meetings and Bible studies. She played a crucial part in bringing the "Dress For Success" program to the Harbor St. Anthony's Guild and was a big supporter of the pro-life movement. Mary was seen by others as the life of the party... the hostess with the mostest! No matter how big or how small, she always went out of her way to make any occasion a special one. She had many different hobbies including kayaking, creating works of art, shopping, reading, listening to music, and most importantly- spending time with her wonderful family.

Mary is preceded in death by her brother, Robert McFarland; and her parents, Robert and Juanita McFarland.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Brown; son, Daniel Brown of Bonney Lake; daughters, Angela Johnson of Hoquiam and Bonnie Lee of Aberdeen; her two sisters, Marcia Brannan of Aberdeen and Ellen Parkinson of Estacada, Oregon; and five grandchildren, whom she dearly loved.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary.
