Nona Jean (Hope) Christensen, 74, of Aberdeen, Washington, passed away unexpectedly after a short illness on August 17, 2026. She was born into a large family to Ruth (Collins) Hope and George Hope on November 20, 1951, in Forsyth, Montana and grew up in and around Western Washington.

Nona was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver whose life was defined by quiet strength, love, and selfless dedication to her family. As a stay-at-home mom, she created a home filled with comfort and care and spent many years supporting the needs of her family, including lovingly caring for her chronically ill husband, Michael, who preceded her in death.

She found joy in reading, cooking, shopping, caring for her many beloved pets, and spoiling her grandbabies. Nona was the steady foundation of her family, a quietly solid rock whose kindness, resilience, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone around her.

She is survived by her children, Amy and Adam (Amber); her grandchildren, Dylan, Laynie, and Thaddeus; her sisters Georgia (Gerry) and Sylvia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, her parents, her sisters Myrna, and Juanita and her brothers Harvey and Forrest.

A memorial service will be held on August 25, 2026, at Harrison Family Mortuary, 311 W Market St, Aberdeen, WA 98520, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a gathering afterward at the family residence for refreshments, remembrance, and the sharing of stories.

Nona’s love, strength, and gentle presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
