Richard Allen "Nibbler" Barrett passed away at home surrounded by family on December 21, 2022. He was born on December 7, 1972, to Elsie Alice McMath Bradley in South Bend, WA. He graduated from Montesano Jr/Sr High School class of 1991. Richard was a corrections officer at Stafford Creek Corrections Center in Aberdeen for 22 years. He also drove truck and was an Alaskan fisherman. His family at SCCC gave him the nickname "Dick".

On May 10th, 1997, Richard married Debra Edinger in Aberdeen, Washington. They were married for 25 tried and true years before Richard passed away. He enjoyed camping with family and close friends, watching The Raiders, riding his motorcycle, and most of all spending time with his family.

Richard is survived by his wife Debby at their family home in Hoquiam; daughters Anna Barrett (Isaac Silvas) and Samantha Barrett (Christopher Fisher); brother Mike Barrett; sister Connie (Steve) Gadwa; 3 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
