Richard "Rich" Henry Neiworth, 95, of Aberdeen, Washington, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. He was born June 2, 1930, in Hoquiam, Washington, to Henry and Helen Regan Neiworth.
Rich grew up in Grays Harbor and lived most of his life in Aberdeen. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, earning the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the First Award during his honorable service.
Following his military career, Rich worked in lumber and manufacturing, including years at Posey's piano manufacturing plant, from which he eventually retired.
Rich married Christine Calabrese Neiworth in 1987, with whom he shared a loving life until her passing in 2010. They had enjoyed traveling to Reno on a yearly basis. He was a devoted husband and stepfather. Family and friends remember him as a hardworking man with a quiet strength, who never hesitated to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Roberta (Terry) Timmons of Montesano; niece Geri Neiworth of Vancouver, Washington; extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
At his request, there will be no services.
