Shawn P. Bowyer was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He passed away on January 16th due to health complications at the age of 60 at his home in Hoquim. Born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, he relocated to the Seattle area at a young age. He graduated from Lynnwood High School, attended ITT, and served in the military as a cook, which took him overseas. Upon returning to the States, Shawn continued in public service, taking a job with the Department of Corrections. After several years in this profession, he relocated to Aberdeen. His mother soon followed. An avid film buff, the two of them would attend a showing once a week. Shawn would also make many trips to visit his nieces and their children. As he was a big kid himself, he found it easy to bond with his nieces and nephews, with whom he loved to play and be silly. He was well-loved and survived by his mother, Louise, his siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and many grand nieces and nephews. He was a member of the local gun club, and he enjoyed science fiction, gaming, dragons, computers, and large stuffed animals. He will be greatly missed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary.
