Stephen "Steve" Allen Draper passed away on July 15th, 2023. Steve was born on June 20th, to Vernon and Melanie (Elzner) Draper in Seattle, WA. He was raised in Kodiak, AK, and graduated from Kodiak High School in 1966.

Steve served in the Navy from 1968 to 1972 in Whidbey Island and Subic Bay, Philippines. He then went to work for Weyerhaeuser in 1972 and retired in 2009. On July 18th, 1972, Steve married the love of his life, Virginia Sanchez, in Des Moines, WA. Steve enjoyed model railroads, building models, fishing, boating, and reading.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Melanie. He is survived by his wife Virginia Draper, who resides at the family home; son Ed (Kristen) Draper of Olympia, WA; daughter Tracie (Ross Marshall) Draper of Shoreline, WA; sister Roberta Martin of Kingman, AZ; and 4 grandchildren, Avery, Addison, Sam, and Owen.

In memory of Steve, the family asks that any donations be made in Steve's name to the American Cancer Society. A celebration of Life is being planned and details will be announced as soon as they become available.
