Sylvia Annette Brown, a longtime resident of Grays Harbor County, WA, left this earth to dance
with the angels on September 4, 2022. Sylvia was born in Seattle, WA to Clyde and Harriette
Anderson on September 3, 1941. As a young child, she, her mom, and siblings, lived in Idaho
where her mom met and married Robert E. "Bob" Reed, the man she affectionately called Pop.
The family moved to Satsop, WA where she attended school in Elma. Sylvia met and married
Henry C. "Clyde" Brown, Jr in 1958, celebrating their 64 th anniversary on August 5, 2022. They
resided in many places, but most recently, and for many years, they lived in Hoquiam. She wore
many hats over the years; Cub Scout den mother, longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi, co-
owner of Clyde and Sylvia's Frames-N-Things, member of the Aberdeen Revitalization
Movement (ARM) committee, organized the successful Aberdeen Downtown Art Walk, and,
most importantly, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Many of her children's
friends also called Sylvia "mom." She is predeceased by her mother, father, and step-father, as
well as their son Philip Dean Brown (age 14), siblings Harlow Anderson and Norma LaBrec, one
grandchild, and one great grandchild. Sylvia is survived by sons Robin (Linda), Greg (Peggy), Tim
(Colleen), and Matt (Tina), daughter Tiffanie Rinehart (Bill), 19 grandchildren and 28 great
grandchildren. A celebration of life for our mother will be held at the Aberdeen Elks Club on
Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 1:00 PM. A mass will be held at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in
Aberdeen on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM. After completion of mass, interment is
at Saint Joseph's Catholic Cemetery near Elma. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to
