Obituary for Nancy Wheaton

Nancy  Wheaton
Nancy Ann Wheaton, 52, of Aberdeen, WA passed away on Tuesday May 4, 2010 in the company of her loving family and friends. Nancy lost her battle with lung cancer after a long courageous fight.

Born in Arlington, WA January 17, 1958, Nancy moved to Grays Harbor at the age of four. October 25, 1975 she married Floyd B. Wheaton at the Wynoochee Valley Grange Hall (later divorced). Nancy attended Aberdeen High School and chose to leave early to get her GED. She attended Grays Harbor College where she earned several Computer Science certifications. Nancy was a homemaker while raising her children, and later became the Communications Director for the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport. Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was an accomplished oil painter and enjoyed bead work as well as other crafts. She worked towards experiencing everything that the world has to offer and was never content sitting idly by as life passed. She especially enjoyed road trips and visiting new places as well as old favorites. She had a passion for genealogy, tracking her family back into the 1600's. She attended the Harbor Assembly of God in Hoquiam, WA.

Nancy is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Floyd A. “Andy” & Stacy Wheaton, Lacey, WA; son Thomas Wheaton, Tumwater, WA; son Bart Wheaton, Hoquiam, WA; granddaughter Tessa Wheaton, Lacey, WA; father & stepmother Hareld & Myrtice Dills, Chehalis, WA; mother & stepfather Linda & Elzie Nations, Aberdeen, WA; grandmother Flonnie Dills, Arlington, WA; sister Jane (Bill) Letteer, Kelso, WA; brother Dennis (Cheryl) Howard, Arlington, WA; brother Wayne (Francene) Nations, Aberdeen, WA; sister Kris Ritchey, Centralia, WA; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, & friends.

A celebration of life will be held 11am Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Harbor Assembly of God, 716 M Street, Hoquiam, WA. Officiating, Pastor Ken Middleton.
